Most people do not think much about their insurance until something goes wrong. By then, the decisions have already been made.
I did not come into this business to sell policies. I came into it to help people make better decisions before they ever need to rely on them.
Before founding Eastline Insurance Group, I spent more than 20 years in ministry as a pastor. That experience still shapes how I do this work today. Sitting with people, listening carefully, asking better questions, and helping them think through decisions that actually matter.
I later worked inside a captive insurance agency, where everything is built around a single company’s products. There is value in that model, but it also showed me the limits of it. People deserve more than one set of options. They deserve someone who can step back, look at the full picture, and help them choose what truly fits.
That is what led me to build Eastline as an independent agency.
Over time, I have seen the same pattern again and again. Good people making reasonable decisions, but without clear guidance. I have had more conversations than I can count that start with, “I thought I was covered.”
My role is not to push a product. It is to help you understand what you have, what you do not, and what actually makes sense for your situation. Sometimes that means recommending more coverage. Sometimes it means telling you not to spend money where you do not need to. Either way, you will get a straight answer.
I am not looking for a one-time transaction. I am looking to be the person you can rely on as your life changes, when things get more complex, or when you simply want to make sure you still have things set up the right way.
A little outside the office
I have been married to my wife Linda for 33 years, and we have two sons, Jonah and Ian. Jonah is also in the insurance industry, so insurance has a way of showing up in conversation more often than you might expect.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I play multiple instruments and still enjoy it as much as I ever have.
My wife and I also share a love for mid-century modern design and vintage pieces. What started as a casual interest turned into a hobby we genuinely enjoy together.
